Custom Cabinetry for van conversions
Building cabinets by hand and by CNC are entirely different. The complex machining operations that are avaialable through CNC permits reducing the number of parts per cabinet and increasing the complexity of design. Prior to automating a cabinet design, our typical cabinet took 12 components and over two hours of hand labor. With CNC and CAD a typical cabinet is only six parts and takes about 15 minutes. From a single cabinet design we can automatically vary the width, depth, and height of our cabinetry with just a few keystrokes. All are precisely milled to follow the complex contours of any van. The only inventory we need to carry is the high quality plywood panels and minimal hardware.
The primary benefit of CNC is the ability to mill complex countours to match the shape of any van to within 1/16 of an inch. Neither ceiliings nor walls are flat and the attachment beams for secure mounting have complex profiles. We design our cabients to leave to no unused space maximing both internal cabinet space and open apace in a van.
