This was a van built in approximately 3 weeks on a 2022 Dodge Promaster standard 159 Wheelbase. With out extensive CAD database and CNC machining capabilities we produced the entire interior of the van (walls, ceiling, and cabinets in approximately 4 days after receiving lumber for built. The vehicle was designed to accomodate the need of the owners to live full time in the van and work on the road. When off grid, the van powers itself from over 600 Watts of rooftop solar panels, 400 Watt charging from van alternator, and a 2200 Watt Ecoflow generator. It has a 400 Watt portable air conditioner that replaces an expensive 1000 Watt, $2,000 rooftop unit. Multiple ours were spent on the detailing of vehicle including matching walls to flooring, installation of a large custom side window, and two skylights. Almost a dozen USB ports are in the van, hot and cold running water, 21 gallon water tank, swivel seat on passenger side, deep drawn steel sink, hardwood countertop, fold-down hardwood counter top extension, 10 liter hot water tank, and many more features.
Design philosophy:
This van was designed for adventure and daily practical use. . Although walls, floor, and ceiliing are all insulated, the van has a Webasco gasoline heater. With Catherine, the owner wanted the ability to take long-distance trips in the van and be a self contained unit powered by 120 Volt shore power: it's a home on wheels.
Upon almost 95% completion of the van, the owners took the vehicle for repairs at a dealer and never returned it, leaving behind a $15,000 outstanding balance on their account. We're sure they are enjoying their vehicle somewhere on the roads of America leaving our firm subsidizing a majority of their van build and their nomadic lifestyle. Some people are just dishonest. We can't change that.
